No.
We can co-create your ceremony together and include whatever you want - religious, spiritual or secular... whatever honours you, your relationship and your beliefs.
We can include poems, songs, prayers, rituals and words that feel authentic for you both.
As a OneSpirit Interfaith Minister, I have no liturgy to follow.
If your ceremony is a legal ceremony... a marriage... there are some specific words which need to be said... by you... and I... to make it legal.
I work with lots of couples who aren't sure where to start... I can provide guidance in terms of a ceremony structure... and once I get to know you a little... can suggest poems if that's helpful... weave your personal words into your ceremony... add in Scottish rituals or even custom design rituals just for you.
This wonderful couple trusted me to create a number of rituals for them... they made and jumped a besom at the threshold of their home... and followed my intuition when I told them I was being guided for them to make something from clay in their ceremony. They made wildflower seedballs with the seeds of the flowers included in the wedding bouquet. On the seedballs, they made promises to their blended family, afterwards taking the seedballs to plant at the four directions of their home.
